The 3M 48-millimeter-by-54-meter red performance plus nuclear duct tape is designed for both permanent and temporary applications and can be used both indoors and outdoors. It offers sunlight and UV resistance for up to one year without the backing deteriorating or delaminating. The red color is ideal for applications in the shipbuilding, nuclear power plant and stainless steel industries. The tape is certified for low leachable halogens and sulfur, is 13 milli-inches thick, measures 48-millimeters-by-54-meters (WxL) and weighs 1.4 pounds. 8979N provides clean removal with little or no sticky adhesive residue for up to 6 months. Sunlight/UV and Water Resistant. Lasts 1 year without degrading. Tape construction consists of high tensile cloth and aggressive adhesive.

Polyken 226 Nuclear Grade Duct Tape is a polyethylene coated cloth tape meeting nuclear regulations. It is durable, resists tearing, and has high conformability. Polyken 226 also has superior tack and adheres tightly to many surfaces. It has multiple uses in power plants and ships. For use with nickel-based alloys and austenitic stainless steels. Also for holding dosimeters, sealing insulation, color coding, wrapping pipe ends, sealing duct work and packaging. Can be used outdoors. Meets NRC and ANSI regulations. NOTES: Sizes shipped will typically be the tape industry standard metric-cut sizes, i.e. 24mm for each 1 inch of nominal tape width ordered (rolls are approximately 5% narrower than the nominal size). This product's actual size is 48mm x 55m.
